At the end of the procession, participants perform <strong>\u201cBhuinfersi\u201d<\/strong>\u2014striking the <strong>Kubindo (a symbolic object)<\/strong> at the Siddhi Ganesh temple grounds\u2014so the festival is also referred to as <strong>\u201cBhuinfersi Palegu\u201d Jatra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the procession, led by <strong>Pama Nayo (Chief Naike)<\/strong>, participants dressed as Malla-era soldiers wore <strong>iron helmets<\/strong> and carried <strong>swords, spears, and shields<\/strong>, also demonstrating martial skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Kubindo struck at Siddhi Ganesh temple<\/strong> is later distributed as prasad and taken to households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, <strong>Madhyapur Thimi Municipality<\/strong> supported the jatra with materials such as shields and helmets.
