Following the <strong>Vijaya Dashami<\/strong> rituals, where the red <strong>Tika<\/strong>\u2014a symbol of auspiciousness\u2014and <strong>Jamara<\/strong>\u2014a symbol of prosperity\u2014are applied by elders, people continued visiting relatives to receive Tika today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After applying the sacred offerings at home or in the puja room for nine days of worship, Thursday saw families performing Tika ceremonies, while Friday brought more activity to the markets as people went to relatives\u2019 homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>Ghatasthapana<\/strong>, the ceremonial vessel established at the beginning of Dashain is ritually consecrated following Vedic rituals, culminating in the application of Tika on Vijaya Dashami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Vijaya Dashami festival<\/strong>, celebrated on <strong>Ashwin Shukla Dashami<\/strong>, is marked with joy as elders apply Tika and Jamara as blessings from Goddess Durga.
