Heavy rainfall since Friday evening has blocked the Narayangadh–Muglin and Muglin–Naubise road sections.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, landslides occurred at Tuin Khola in Chitwan and Jawang Khola in Dhading, bringing vehicular movement on both roads to a complete halt.
Police reported that from 6:00 AM Saturday, major road connections through Chitwan, Dhading, and Tanahun have remained disrupted. Continuous rainfall has caused ongoing rock and mudslides, preventing clearance work from starting.
The road blockade has created significant hardship for travelers. In the past as well, frequent landslides have often forced long closures of these vital road sections.
Authorities have urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel and stay safe as heavy rainfall continues.
