Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by heavy rainfall in Ilam and other affected areas.
On Sunday evening, through social media, she conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished eternal peace for the departed souls. She also expressed high appreciation for all those tirelessly engaged in rescue and relief operations.
“The patience and solidarity shown by the Nepali people in facing this disaster is commendable, for which I extend my sincere gratitude. Relief distribution in the affected areas is ongoing,” Prime Minister Karki wrote on social media.
