Two Ki*lled, 26 Injured in Passenger Bus Accident at Khayarmara, Bardibas-10

Bardibas-10, Khayarmara – A passenger bus accident this morning claimed the lives of two people and left 26 others injured, including 13 women.

The injured have been admitted to Shubha Swastik Hospital in Bardibas. According to hospital doctors, the condition of six injured passengers is critical.

District Traffic Chief Laxmiraj Joshi informed that 65-year-old pedestrian Chulhai Chaudhary of Khayarmara-10 died on the spot after being struck by the bus. Similarly, 10-year-old Pramis Khadka of Ishwarpur-12, who was on board the bus, died while undergoing treatment at Shubha Swastik Hospital.

Hospital Director Pradeep Karki said that the boy sustained a severe head injury.

According to Chief Joshi, the passenger bus (Na 6 Kha 1464), traveling from Khayarmara towards Kathmandu, lost control this morning and crashed into the wall of Laxminarayan Secondary School before hitting a coconut tree, leading to the accident.

The exact cause of the accident has not been determined. Eyewitnesses suggest that the accident may have occurred due to overspeeding, causing the driver to lose control. Chief Joshi further stated that all bus staff fled the scene, and police have launched a search operation.
