Prime Minister Sushila Karki, while assessing the potential risks of possible disasters, announced that the government has decided to declare a two-day public holiday across the country.
In a televised video message on Saturday through Nepal Television, the Prime Minister informed that the government will grant a nationwide holiday on Sunday (19th) and Monday (20th).
She emphasized that the government understands the difficulties faced by citizens and highlighted the importance of facing risks together rather than feeling isolated.
“The state’s entire resources are with you today. Together, we will overcome this risk,” said the Prime Minister.
She also urged citizens to follow the directives issued by the police and other disaster management offices.
