Continuous rainfall has triggered landslides, blocking the Dharan–Dhankuta road section of the Koshi Highway.
According to police, landslides and mudslides occurred last night near Mulghat and Namaste Jharna, completely obstructing vehicular movement along the route.
In addition, the Hile–Pakhribas–Leguwa section of the Mid-Hill Highway has also been blocked due to landslide damage.
Authorities stated that excavators (JCBs) from the Road Division are currently working to clear debris at the affected sites.
The administration has issued a notice prohibiting vehicle movement along these road sections. Police at Bhedetar have already turned back several vehicles traveling from Dharan towards Dhankuta.
Travelers have been urged to avoid risky journeys until the roads are cleared and to remain safe at their respective locations.
