The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has urged the public to remain alert and adopt precautionary measures as heavy rainfall is expected between October 3–6 (Ashoj 17–20), which may trigger disasters such as floods, landslides, and soil erosion in vulnerable areas.
The DAO has requested people to avoid long-distance travel unless absolutely necessary during this period. It has further advised travelers entering or leaving Kathmandu not to travel at night for safety reasons.
In case of disasters, the administration has also made emergency contact numbers available for immediate rescue, assistance, and relief.
