The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed districts not affected by disasters and not engaged in rescue operations to resume public services.
Issuing a circular to all District Administration Offices, the ministry directed that regular public services should continue in such areas.
Earlier, the government had declared two days of public holiday due to the potential risk of disasters. However, with major highways blocked by floods and landslides, many people who had traveled to their hometowns for Dashain celebrations are still unable to return to their workplaces on time.
