Road Eroded by Syuchatar Stream in Soltimod, Kathmandu; Emergency Measures Underway

In Soltimod, Kathmandu, the Syuchatar stream has eroded part of the road on the west side. Since Saturday morning, rapid riverbank erosion has caused a section of the road to collapse by approximately five feet. According to Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the stream has been eroding land near nearby houses, leaving only about five feet of safe distance. The metropolitan authorities have immediately initiated measures to prevent further damage.
