The District Administration Office, Dhanusha has imposed a prohibitory order in Rupaithe, Janakpur, following rising tensions between two communities. The tradition of receiving Dashain Tika continues today on Ashwin Shukla Dwadashi. After the commencement of tika on Vijaya Dashami, people have been visiting their elders to receive tika and blessings on Ekadashi and Dwadashi as well. Following nine days of worship during Navaratri and the immersion of the goddess, the practice of tika began on Vijaya Dashami. Heavy rainfall since Friday evening has blocked the Narayangadh–Muglin and Muglin–Naubise road sections. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, landslides occurred at Tuin Khola in Chitwan and Jawang Khola in Dhading, bringing vehicular movement on both roads to a complete halt.
